DURHAM, N.C. -- The Duke men's basketball team tips off the 2010-11 season on Friday, Oct. 15 with the second annual Countdown to Craziness. For the second consecutive year, ESPNU will be on hand to cover the events as part of its four-hour Midnight Madness Special.

"Countdown to Craziness was a huge success last year and we are really excited to start this season with another great event," said head coach Mike Krzyzewski. "Friday is going to be a special night for our players, coaches, fans and everyone involved with Duke basketball. We are looking forward to hitting the floor in Cameron and feeling the building shake in anticipation for the 2010-11 season."

Countdown to Craziness will feature live music, inflatable games, highlight videos honoring past champions and the Duke basketball tradition, videos by Duke University Improv, live performances and on-court contests as well as the annual Blue-White scrimmage and a dunk contest. In addition, Duke will unveil the 2010 National Championship banner and members of the 2009-10 Blue Devils will receive their championship rings as part of a ceremony honoring last year's NCAA title team.

ESPN analyst and former Blue Devil great Jason Williams will be on site for Countdown to Craziness as part of ESPNU's coverage of the opening weekend of college basketball.
