DURHAM - The Duke Blue Devils opened their 2015 home season at the new Brooks Field at Wallace Wade Stadium with a dominant 55-0 victory over neighboring North Carolina Central University in front of a capacity crowd.
After a slow start, Thomas Sirk led the Duke offense to over 650 total yards, as the Blue Devils' new quarterback moved to 2-0 as a starter.
The star of the night was again the Duke defense. Led by redshirt- senior captain Jeremy Cash, the Blue Devils held the Eagles to just 1 of 14 on 3rd down and a meager 2 yards per carry.
Head Coach David Cutcliffe discussed the new stadium and the victory with the media shortly after the game.
