DURHAM, N.C. – Duke’s season-opening football game against Army West Point will be played on Friday, August 31, at Brooks Field at Wallace Wade Stadium. The game, originally scheduled for Saturday, September 1, will kick off at 7:00 p.m., and be televised live on ESPNU.
The Army West Point game is the first of six home tilts for the Blue Devils, who also will entertain N.C. Central (September 22), Virginia Tech (September 29), Virginia (October 20), North Carolina (November 10) and Wake Forest (November 24).
Duke’s annual Employee Appreciation Day will shift from the opening weekend to Saturday, September 22 when the Blue Devils host N.C. Central. The complete promotional date schedule includes the following:
September 22 (N.C. Central): Employee Appreciation Day, Homecoming, Hall of Fame Day, Durham Day, Scout Day
September 29 (Virginia Tech): Military Appreciation Day, Cheer Day
October 20 (Virginia): Family Weekend, Youth Sports Day, Throwback Day, Iron Dukes Day, Former Player Day
November 10 (North Carolina): Teacher Appreciation Day
November 24 (Wake Forest): Senior Day
