With 565 wins among its 15 current members, the ACC is the all-time winningest conference in NCAA Tournament annals ... North Carolina is second all-time to Kentucky (116) with 110 NCAA Tournament victories, Duke is third (99), Louisville (72) sixth and Syracuse (61) eighth ... the ACC also has the highest NCAA Tournament winning percentage (.613) while the Big Ten (.609) is second.

In 2014-15, the ACC will feature four of the five active Division I coaches that are in the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame - Duke’s Mike Krzyzewski, Louisville’s Rick Pitino, North Carolina’s Roy Williams and Syracuse’s Jim Boeheim.

The ACC is five Rick Pitino wins shy of becoming the first conference in NCAA history to have four active coaches with 700 or more career wins ... Duke’s Mike Krzyzewski (983), Syracuse’s Jim Boeheim (948) and North Carolina’s Roy Williams (724) have already reached the 700-win plateau ... the previous high was three by the Big East Conference during the 2011-12 season when Syracuse’s Jim Boeheim, Connecticut’s Jim Calhoun and West Virginia’s Bob Huggins all had 700 or more career victories.

Six of the last 14 NCAA Basketball Championships have been won by teams currently competing in the ACC ... the American Athletic Conference and the SEC are tied for second with three titles each.
