Duke head coach Mike Krzyzewski has extended an offer to R.J. Hampton, a 6-4 shooting guard out of Texas. Hampton leads the Under Armor with 24.5 ppg and he has the ability to play both guard spots with his passing skills.
Hampton has visited the Duke campus already during their annual Countdown to Craziness. The Blue Devils seem sure to make his short list per sources and they have made him a priority target moving forward.
Duke head coach Mike Krzyzewski announced an addition to the nation’s No. 1 recruiting class on Friday as Zion Williamson signed his National Letter of Intent to attend Duke University and play for the Blue Devils next season.
The 6-foot-6 Williamson, rated as the nation’s No. 2 prospect by ESPN, joins a trio of highly-regarded Blue Devils that signed in November – R.J. Barrett, Tre Jones and Cam Reddish. With the Spartanburg, S.C., native Williamson, Duke has the ESPN No. 1 (Barrett), No. 2 (Williamson), No. 3 (Reddish) and No. 10 (Jones) ranked players in the 2018-19 class.
“It’s unbelievable that Zion will be joining our program,” said Krzyzewski. “He and his family are first class. We’re not only bringing Zion in, but his entire family. Zion is a unique player and certainly one of the most gifted athletes that has come into the ACC. He’s heck of a basketball player and a young man, and an outstanding leader.”
Williamson is the 63rd McDonald’s All-American inked by Coach K – the most by any coach. Krzyzewski has signed at least one McDonald’s All-American in 33 consecutive years.

Three future Duke Blue Devils are ranked numbers 1-2, and 2 in the final ESPN Rankings of high school basketball players. RJ Barrett finished as the top rated player in the country, followed by Zion Williamson and Cam Reddish.
It s the first time that a school has ever had the top three rated players coming in at the same time. A fourth Blue Devil to be, Tre Jones, finished the season ranked 17th. Next years class is considered the best in the land by all the recruiting services.
Duke loses all five of their starters from last seasons Elite 8 team. The Blue Devils may be adding other players to their roster which returns Marques Bolden, Javin DeLaurier, Alex O'Connell, Jack White, Antonio Vrankovic , Justin Robinson and Justin Goldwire.

RJ Barrett showed off his skill set last evening while leading the World team to a victory over USA Basketball in the Nike Hoop Summit.
Barrett led all scorers with a game high 20 points. He also lead all players in assists with 6 dimes while grabbing 9 rebounds.
You can bet that Duke fans are already licking their chops to get such a well-rounded player who has that rare killer competitive spirit. As some say, when the lights come on, Barrett is always ready to go.
Cam Reddish also played in last evenings game. His tallied 7 points, 4 rebounds and 1 blocked shot. Duke, point guard to be, Tyus Jones added a team high 5 assists to go with 4 points and 2 steals. Neither player shot the ball well on this evening, going for a combined 4 of 17 from the field.
Per sources, Duke Coach Mike Krzyzewski and staff members will be in home with Bryan Antoine & Scottie Lewis on Friday.
The spring recruiting period runs through April 18. This coming Friday is the first day after the April 9-12 dead period.
The New Jersey duo recently competed in the NCAA’s Next Generation event. The two have also been an active part of giving back to their community via recent events,
Scottie Lewis (6-5) averaged 16.4 points, 5.5 rebounds, 4.2 assists, 1.4 steals and 0.9 blocks per game for Ranney HS (NJ) this past season,
Bryan Antoine (6-5) averaged 21.1 points, 3.4 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 2.5 steals and 0.8 blocks per game.
Both prospects are ranked at the top of their class and each attended the USA Basketball Men’s Junior National Team October Minicamp.
Both players are also teammates on the shoe circuit for Team Rio of Under Armor.

The honors keep rolling in for Duke Blue Devils to be. USA Today has named R.J. Barrett the player of the year and on their first team of the best high school players in the nation.
He is joined by Tre Jones, Cam Reddish and Zion Williamson giving Duke four players on their first team. They are joined by a junior in Vernon Carey who Duke is also recruiting.
